Our classes are held at Oceanside Makerspace in Parksville, BC. We are dedicated to ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can feel comfortable expressing themselves. Whether you want to develop a new hobby, meet like-minded people, or deepen your connection to your self-care products, our workshops offer a space to learn, experiment, and leave with handmade products crafted with intention and care.

Beginner Soap Making Class
$100.00 each - includes all materials and supplies
You'll be working in pairs! Bring a loved one, a friend, or come solo and meet someone new. Soap making is even more fun when shared. Please wear long sleeves and closed toed shoes. All other safety equipment will be provided.

This Valentine's season, share the love by creating something truly special. Join us at Oceanside Makerspace on February 12th for a fun and hands-on cold-process soap making class! Perfect for beginners, this workshop will guide you through the art of crafting vegan soap in the traditional cold process.
In this class you will:

Learn the fundamentals of cold process soap making

Safely work with lye and understand the science behind saponification

Design and customize your own beautifully scented soaps

Experiment with colourants, swirls, and decorative techniques

Use plant-based oils and butters for a luxurious soap your skin will love

Take home your handcrafted soaps - perfect for gifting or to keep for yourself!
You'll be working in pairs to create ten bars of soap with a beautiful drop swirl design. Each of you will take home five bars once they are cured. Whether you're treating yourself or making something special for a loved one, this is a perfect way to celebrate love and creativity.
Note: The soap you'll be making includes coconut oil, olive oil, canola oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and castor oil. If you have an allergy to any of the listed ingredients, please reach out and accommodations will be made if possible.
