Cedar Bough Soap Co. was established in 2019 because of the need for local handmade soap that is NOT wrapped in plastic. Sustainability & environmental stewardship are foundational for our business. We reduce waste wherever possible and reuse or recycle when reducing is not an option. We are proud to produce plastic-free end products with recyclable labels and bags.

Our name is inspired by the 2000-year-old western red cedars outside Prince George, BC, in Chun T’oh Whudujut/ Ancient Forest Provincial Park. This unique inland temperate rainforest showcases the beauty and resilience of the natural world and reminds us that we often find hidden gems in unexpected places.

Cedar Bough Soap Co. now operates on the unceded Traditional territory of the Coast Salish Nations, home to the Snaw-Naw-As First Nation and the Qualicum First Nation. Our commitment as settlers on this land is to uphold the values of land stewardship and community by honouring the environment in which we operate and the people we impact.
